A-League side Melbourne Victory’s poor run of form has had disastrous consequences with a never ending string of tied results forcing the club to change their name to Melbourne Draw.

The move comes after Draw supporters who’d bought season tickets sued for false advertising, claiming the name “Victory” implied the team might actually win from time to time.

A series of embarrassing recent second half fade outs have seen the Draw draw with the Gold Coast, Sydney and even a local Under-6s team the coaching staff organised a friendly against.

Questions have been raised about how much Glory Perth really has

The decision could have wider implications for the league with a review now underway into whether or not their cross town rivals actually have any Heart and if the Central Coast have the required number of certified Mariners.
